Amanda Burls is a Public Health Physician and is currently the Director of Post-Graduate Programmes in Evidence-Based Health Care, in the Department of Primary Health Care at the University of Oxford. She runs the Oxford International Programme in Evidence-Based Health Care.
Amanda has worked with the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) since its establishment in 1993. She was a founder member of, and still works with, the CASP International Network
Amanda was also a founder of The International Network for Knowledge about Wellbeing (ThinkWell). This is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to help patients and the public take control of their own health and health research. She continues to support ThinkWell.
